Vicki Gunvalson’s ex-fiancé Steve Lodge is an engaged man again.
The former police officer, who ran for governor of California in Gavin Newsom’s recent recall election, asked Orange County teacher Janis Carlson the question before Christmas.
Lodge, 63, dated the Real Housewives of Orange County star for five years before officially ending their engagement in September, though he told PEOPLE they ended their relationship the year former.
“I really don’t want to advertise her anymore,” Vicki said responding to the engagement in a statement obtained by Page Six. “She’s a fucking celebrity. ”

“I asked Janis on December 20 if she would become Ms. Steve Chavez Lodge, and she gladly agreed,” Lodge said in a statement to People. “We will get married in April 2022.”
He added: “We are both very excited, incredibly happy, totally in love and look forward to our life together.”
Janis is a third grade teacher and it wasn’t until recently that she went official on Instagram with Steve on Christmas Day.

The reality TV veteran shared an inspiring quote in September with the news that she had broken off her two-year engagement almost five years after their relationship began, which has been documented over the years on RHOC.
“This is what came out for today’s ‘Vibe of the Day’… appropriate enough for what I’m going through,” she wrote. “It took me a day to be able to make a statement after the press started writing about Steve and me.
