Queensland has recorded 7213 new COVID-19 cases, which is a decrease from yesterday’s 8723.
There are 500 people with COVID-19 are in hospital, with 15 in ICU while one person has died with the virus.
Western Australia is also reporting a drop in cases from 5351 yesterday to 4993 today.
There have been no new COVID-19 related deaths in the state.
There are 240 are in hospital with the virus, eight of whom are in ICU.
There were eight more COVID-19 related deaths reported.
There are 1492 people with the virus are in hospitals across the state, and 56 of those are in ICU.
One more COVID-19 death has been reported in the state.
And 381 people with the virus in the state are in hospital and 20 in ICU.
Victoria’s Chief Health Officer, Professor Brett Sutton, also said kids in schools across the state are “60 per cent less likely to catch COVID if two-dose vaccinated and 67 per cent if three-dosed, compared to unvaccinated children”.
