SAS Australia delivered plenty of action in its long-awaited first season on Monday night.
Still, many viewers were distracted by the unnatural faces of former actress Melissa Tkautz and retired AFL star Wayne “Duck” Carey.
Melissa, 48, and Wayne, 50, were almost unrecognizable from their appearance at the height of their fame, both skinned and puffy.

Although neither Wayne nor Melissa have ever admitted to going under the knife, fans couldn’t help but laugh at their bizarre appearances on Twitter.
“Wayne Carey needs a new cosmetic injector,” one viewer tweeted.
“Honestly, I wouldn’t have known it was Melissa Tkautz. Holy shit!’ another added.

During Monday’s premiere, recruits were doused in accelerant and set on fire in a task that required them to rush into the water to douse the flames.
Some viewers took the opportunity to poke fun at Wayne and Melissa during this challenge, with one tweeting, “Wayne Carey’s face…might melt.”
Another joked: “Melissa’s plastic face could burn in flames.”

Wayne, who was once known for his mullet hairstyle, underwent clinical treatment for hair loss several years ago after discovering he was bald at age 30.
He won two premierships as captain of North Melbourne and is considered one of the greatest players of all time.
In 2002, his life was derailed when he was caught in a bathroom with Kangaroos vice-captain Anthony Stevens’ wife, Kelli.
