Robert Irwin ‘goes public’ with American actress Emmy Perry

Robert Irwin has gone public with his longtime friend Emmy Perry, according to a new report from Australia’s Woman’s Day magazine.

Emmy, 17, is an American actress, animal welfare advocate and heiress to a video game fortune worth an estimated $380 million.

The Glee star flew to Down Under last month, apparently to be able to spend time with 18-year-old Robert, whom she has known since 2019.

Emmy shared photos on Instagram of the couple at Australia Zoo and also posted a video of them returning a turtle to its natural habitat.

They were first pictured together at Disneyland in 2019, having met earlier that year at the Steve Irwin Gala Dinner in Los Angeles.

Nothing in Emmy’s social media posts suggests they’re more than friends, but Woman’s Day reports that they might be romantically involved.

A TikTok video has gone viral of Utah’s Megan Grass trying to get Robert’s numbers after a performance at the Crocoseum.

‘I think you’re so cool and I was wondering if I could have your number?’ she says.

“Well, I’m very flattered,” he replied before asking Megan where she was from.

He added: “The easiest way [to contact me] is on Instagram because then my people can monitor it and see when it’s on because my number mixes up.

“Well, I DMed you last night to let you know I was coming here today,” she said.

‘What is your name? I will go get him!’ Robert answered.

Robert later said on the Today show that the gesture “meant the world” to him and went “straight to his heart”.

“Honestly, it made my whole day. It was so sweet. [It] really meant the world,” he told co-hosts Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon.
