Post Malone says he’s going to be a father to his longtime love.

“I’m excited for this next chapter of my life, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and ever since I can remember I was sad,” the 26-year-old rapper told TMZ on Tuesday.

He continued, “It’s time to take care of my body, my family and my friends, and spread as much love as possible every day.”

Insiders told the outlet that the Grammy-nominated artist, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, threw a party in Southern California last weekend in honor of the future member of the family.

The child will be the first for the Syracuse, New York native, the outlet reported.

The Circles rapper’s girlfriend, according to TMZ, has stayed out of the spotlight and the pair are content to keep their relationship private.

Speaking to Billboard about the album earlier this year, Post said the album has an effective 45 minutes of new music because it aimed to avoid any kind of filler material.

He said that the tracks on the record “speak more to what I’m feeling right now: the ups and downs, the disarray and the bipolar aspect of being an artist in the mainstream”.

Post said he chose artistry over commercialism to keep the song count lower on the next album.

“Trying to push 20 to 25 songs, it just doesn’t work,” he said. ‘Talk to the label [it’s like]“Oh, if you have fewer songs, you’re not going to stream as much,” but the point is, you don’t want to compromise your artistry and intuition on anything.
