Lisa Curry spent time with her family on Mother’s Day this weekend, two years after the tragic death of her daughter Jaimi.
The 59-year-old former Olympian visited a Sunshine Coast park with her husband Mark Tabone, daughter Morgan Gruell and grandchildren.
At times the mother-of-three looked dejected and deep in thought as she sat on a park bench, but managed to smile as she captured photos of her beloved grandchildren on her iPhone.

Lisa walked away as her grandsons Flynn, three, and Taj, one, ran across the lawn.
She remained close to husband Mark and daughter Leticia as Taj played nearby.
Lisa’s daughter Jaimi tragically passed away in September 2020 at the age of 33, following a long battle with alcohol addiction and an eating disorder.
Jaimi was Lisa’s daughter from her marriage to ex-husband Grant Kenny, a fellow Olympian and former Ironman.
She passed away at Sunshine Coast University Hospital on September 14, 2020, surrounded by her family.

Last week, Lisa told Today Extra hosts David Campbell and Sylvia Jeffreys that she had a thumbprint of her late daughter Jaimi imprinted on a necklace, which she still wears with her.

She is never far away. She’s still there somehow,” Lisa said. “It was a small gift that I gave to our whole family. It was his thumbprint that they took for us.
“It’s always a reminder to take care of yourself and live your best life.”
“It’s difficult, as you can see. Grant didn’t say anything, because he can’t. You may think you know what grief is, but until you’re there, it’s completely different,” she said.
“I had Mark by my side, and my kids, and Grant and if it wasn’t for them… some days you can’t.”
