After the rumor started with reports that Akshay Kumar would not be promoting his upcoming film “Bachchan Pandey” on “The Kapil Sharma Show”, comedian-host Kapil took it upon himself to clarify the issue and put end to speculation.
Taking to his Twitter account on Tuesday, February 8, Kapil said it was just a misunderstanding calling the “Sooryavanshi” actor his big brother. His tweet read: “Dear friends, I was reading all the news in the media about me and Akshay paji, I just spoke to paji and sorted it all out, it was just a missed communication, everything is fine and very soon we will see each other again. Let’s meet to shoot Episode of Bachchan Pandey. He is my big brother and can never be bored with me, thank you.
Dear friends, I was reading all the news in the media about me n Akshay paji, I just talked to paji and sorted it all out, it was just a missed communication, everything is fine and very soon we meet to shoot l episode of Bachhan pandey. When Akshay Kumar recently appeared on the show to promote his romantic musical “Atrangi Re” with Sara Ali Khan, Kapil Sharma joked with him about an interview he did with the “famous personality” where the actor had asked said person how he ate mangoes. The two did not take the name of the “said person” on the show. Kapil was referring to Akshay’s interview with Prime Minister Narendra Modi that aired in 2019. Akshay had challenged Kapil to take the person’s name directly, but the host changed the subject.
A The Switzerland Times report had claimed that Akshay was angry with Kapil since he demanded to cut the above-described part of the final episode. That part was deleted, but the short clip was apparently leaked and went viral on the internet.
Meanwhile, “Bachchan Pandey” stars Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles. The action-comedy film is directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is said to be the remake of the highly acclaimed Tamil film “Jigarthanda” directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The Akshay Kumar-directed film is set to hit theaters on March 18.
