George Lopez cancels New Years’ show after ‘falling ill’ in mid-morning

George Lopez “fell ill” in the middle of his set during a morning performance on New Years Day and was forced to cancel his prime-time show, TMZ reported on Saturday.

At around 4 p.m. on Friday, the 60-year-old was in the midst of his comedic routine at the Muckleshoot Casino Resort in Auburn, Wash., When he began to visibly struggle on stage, the outlet said.

An eyewitness in the crowd said that about half an hour after the show started, Lopez started to sweat and asked for water.

Sabrina Alvarez, an eyewitness, said it took a while for someone to come out and bring the comedian a glass of water.

“You could tell something was wrong, but it wasn’t clear what was wrong,” she told TMZ, adding that Lopez then apologized to the public, left the room. scene and had not returned.

The outlet reported that an ambulance had been spotted outside the Muckleshoot Casino, but it was unclear whether it was intended for Lopez or for some other reason.

In addition to the abrupt end of the morning, George was due to perform again later that night, but the casino confirmed that their title was forced to be canceled.

The casino wrote in a tweet: “It is with our sincere apologies that we must announce the cancellation of tonight’s performance at 8 p.m. by George Lopez. Please contact your point of sale for refund information. . ‘

Lopez has yet to comment on his condition or the incident, but he did re-share a post from a fan about his Insta story that referred to the ordeal.

“@GeorgeLopez, I hope you will feel a lot better soon,” the fan wrote on a short clip of a casino poster promoting the show.

The completely canceled New Years show was postponed until March 18. TSWT.com has contacted representatives for Lopez.

Ahead of his miserable morning, George took to social media to share an article in tribute to the late Betty White, who died on Friday at the age of 99.

The actor shared a funny clip of White from a former appearance on his old talk show, Lopez Tonight.

“You know you are loved when the whole world feels like 99 years is not enough,” he captioned the caption.

He added in his tribute: “Your light is too bright to be dimmed. Thank you for the years of laughter and comedic genius, you will be sorely missed. ‘
