Exclusive: Jannat Zubair opens up on Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, says ‘I won’t do daily soap operas’

Actress and social media sensation Jannat Zubair Rahmani is best known for her show Phulwa. She made a successful career in television and continued to charm her audience with Tu Aashiqui. However, the actress quit the daily soap operas and she has no plans to make a comeback.

Currently, Jannat is filming for the stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, and this will mark her return to television after four years. However, during an exclusive interaction with TSWT, Jannat revealed that she no longer has any desire to do daily soaps and will explore other mediums. Jannat said, “I hope I don’t make my fans wait that long. That said, this is my first reality show, but I’m not going to do TV anymore…daily soap operas.” She further explained, “This (KKK) isn’t a daily soap opera, it’s a reality show, which has thrill, adventure, action and everything. So when you talk about going back to TV daily soap operas are out I’m making a comeback (to TV) because this show will be on TV so everyone says “it’s my comeback” which it is , but daily soap operas are always a no for me.” Jannat is now looking to explore OTT platforms and feature films, “Yeah, something like that. I’ve completed my Punjabi movies which will be released soon. So my fans can see me in cinemas, but not on TV.”

Speaking about her experience on the show, the actress said the show’s host, Rohit Shetty, surprised her the most. According to her, Shetty takes great care on set and makes sure no one has any problems or injuries while performing the stunts. Jannat also acknowledged her journey with Colors saying, “I grew up with this channel and I gave the best roles of my career in the same. So I’m happy to come back to television with the same channel.”
