Elizabeth Olsen admits she considered Scarlett Johansson a role model for the superhero genre


Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange sequel – Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – premiered in theaters in the United States on Friday.

The superhero flick, part of the MCU’s Phase Four, promises plenty of high-octane action and supernatural drama, as Dr. Stephen Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, joins other cast members familiar. This go-around, Elizabeth Olsen is among the newcomers (reviving her role as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch from other MCU productions), some seven years after making her MCU debut in 2015’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Looking for advice on how to navigate the superhero genre in her early days, Olsen admits she studied franchise veteran Scarlett Johansson, who played Black Widow in several films.

Considering she’s now seven years old in the MCU, the tables have turned for Olsen, who is now the season’s veteran.

While there’s a lot to admire about Scarlet Witch, Olsen also explains why she doesn’t want kids to look up to her as a role model.

“I think what worries me is when people start saying, ‘Is she a role model for kids? “, she began, in an interview with Comicbook.com.
