The outing comes after Dylan said she dreams of a job in the film industry but expects to be behind the camera to some extent.

However, her role in her father’s new film Flag Day has given her a “new respect” for the profession and she can now seek more roles.

She told Total Film magazine: “I always thought I would be in the film industry but be behind the camera, whether writing or directing. Acting, honestly, has always felt so silly – adults playing dress up.

“Obviously I have a new respect for the actors after doing this. And I think it sounds like a really special story. It’s one in a million and the role was so amazing.

Both of Dylan’s parents gave her the same acting advice separately, so it’s something that stood out for her.

She said: “They both told me separately that if anything seemed wrong, whether it was what I was saying or the way I was moving, don’t do it because it will be wrong on the screen. .

“Every time we called ‘action’, that’s what I kept telling myself in my head. ”

Meanwhile, Sean was thrilled to be directing his daughter in the film. He said: “I am really grateful that this has happened.

“I don’t mind to say that I knew from day one of filming that I was going to be as proud as I am today.

“Because the second we started, I knew I hadn’t prepared her for failure. ”
