Debra Messing left the final performance of her Broadway show Birthday Candles in a sparkly red dress on Sunday.

The 53-year-old actress stepped out in a short-sleeved red dress with a U-shaped neckline.

The dress ruffled over the skirt and stopped at the shins in the front which showed off her pale legs.

She carried a large manila folder with her and smiled a huge toothy smile.

Her reddish brown hair fell in a single wave down her back and tucked behind her ears.

As his smile stretched from ear to ear, Messing received some unwanted news earlier this month.

Messing has been working on a number of projects in recent months, including the movie 13: The Musical.

The film is based on the Broadway show of the same name. According to its IMDb page, it follows a kid named Evan Goldman who “moves from New York to a small town in Indiana.” As his 13th birthday approaches, he must master the complex social circles of his new school and make friends by turning his Bar Mitzvah into the coolest party ever.

The film stars Josh Peck, Rhea Perlman, Peter Hermann and many other stars.
