Brahmastra box office collection: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is all set to release in theaters on September 9. many believe this has had an impact on the box office numbers of Bollywood movies of late. And it looks like the movie will definitely get a bumper opening as the advance ticket reservations are a flying star.
Not only in India, the makers of Brahmastra are doing everything they can to get their film released on as many screens around the world as possible. In Australia, Brahmastra will have the widest release and will be shown in over 300 screens (all languages). Meanwhile, Brahmastra will also open at the arthouse chain Palace Cinemas in Australia, a first for any Indian film.
Trading expert Taran Adarsh noted in a tweet: “‘BRAHMĀSTRA’ GOES ALL IN AUSTRALI… #Brahmāstra will have widest ever release in #Australia… More than 300 screens [all languages]… In addition to the #Hoyts, #Event and #Village chains, #Brahmāstra will also open at arthouse chain #PalaceCinemas, the first for an #Indian film.”

Amid sky-high expectations of the film and excitement among cine fans, Brahmastra is being released in five languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
Meanwhile, talking about the box office expectations and the opening day numbers that Ranbir and Alia’s film was able to muster, entertainment tracker Ramesh Bala told The Switzerland Times in an interview, “The expectations are very high. So on Day 1, it should collect Rs. 25 crore nett, and probably around Rs 75 crore at the end of the three day weekend as they expect Rs 10 crore in advance. It should be the No. 1 Hindi film, which improves Sooryavanshi. Given the crowds and the promotions, the should be able to do that.”
Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is the first part of the planned trilogy set in Astraverse, based on ancient Indian astras. The film hits theaters on September 9.
