2022 Logie Awards hangover: Stars look worse after big night

|

There were headaches on the Gold Coast on Monday.

As the curtain closed on the 2022 TV Week Logie Awards, some of Australia’s biggest names emerged from The Star Casino in the early hours of the morning looking a little less worn.

The tipsy stars had plenty to celebrate, of course, as the night of TV nights finally returned to the live stage after a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19.

As the sun began to rise, SAS Australia stars Anna Heinrich and Simone Holtznagel were seen waiting for an Uber outside the venue alongside a security guard.

At one point, a tired-looking Anna leaned on the shoulder of ex-AFL star Barry Hall.

Meanwhile, The Block favorites Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie looked very dazed when they spotted paparazzi waiting at the entrance.

A cheerful Angela Bishop was also seen leaving the entertainment complex with her arms wide open to hug a friend.

Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou, who suffered a wardrobe malfunction on stage, was spotted with partner Adam Rigby and TV presenter Renee Bargh.

MasterChef judge and Gold Logie nominee Melissa Leong seemed to have a clear head as she went on a low-key outing with boyfriend Rob Mason.

Judge Masked Singer Dave Hughes, who does not drink, sported a cheeky smile as he returned home after a long night of Carlton Zeros.

Gold Logie winner Hamish Blake was the man of the hour as celebrities waited for taxis to return to their respective hotels.

He fought for snappers alongside his beauty mogul wife Zoe Foster Blake.

The pair were also seen mingling with best friend Andy Lee and longtime girlfriend Rebecca Harding.

In a surprising twist, the man everyone expected to be drunk the day after the Logies was actually sober as a judge.

Karl Stefanovic was perfectly clear-headed as he hosted Channel Nine’s Today show live from the Gold Coast from 5.30am alongside co-presenter Allison Langdon.

The 47-year-old, who had failed to win the Logie d’or the previous night, was memorably drunk on air the day after the 2009 Logies.

He had referenced his partying ways at the ceremony as he held a pack of Panadol in front of the camera.
